Pumpkin Pickin'

We haven't really done much lately. Of course, we've gone to the B.Y.U. football games, watched B.Y.U. win, and etc. But the main thing we did this week (besides the B.Y.U. game yesterday) is go pumpkin picking with the Banaskys. We now have over 27 pumpkins on our front porch. Plus, we (had) over 18 mini pumpkins. We now have about 16. The reason why is because yesterday when Paul and I were decorating for Fall/Halloween, we got the pumpkins out of the trunk. I knew they would fall out if I opened too quick or too slow, so I did it a certain way. But the pumpkins got very shaken up driving home and so they all started falling out. I told Paul to help me and so he did, but when he was pushing the door to stay shut and I was trying to get the pumpkins that would fall out soon through the back seat, a few toppled out. Harrison and Logan had just walked outside so they came and helped us put them up on the porch. Those pumpkins are big! They each wanted a mini pumpkin so we gave them two for helping us. "Wow, the Banaskys gave us a lot of pumpkins," we thought.

Anyways, picking was fun. At first we just helped them put the pumpkins into the boxes for Mr. Banasky to sell (he asks for a donation of money, gives that money to local charities, and gives the other people how many pumpkins they want), and then Sis. Banasky came back with my mom in the truck (she had to feed the baby). Then we loaded up any good pumpkins that we liked into the truck and at the end they piled the ones we wanted (and obviously more!) into the back of the van. After pumpkin picking, we went to their watermelon fields. When at the pumpkin fields we got to crack rotten pumpkins so we got to crack rotten watermelons too. It was fun. We also cracked good watermelons and had them all to ourselves to eat. Then we started a watermelon war. Brooke and I had a lot of fun with that. We were so dirty afterwords and we had both worn white shirts! After this, we did a tiny bit more pumpkin picking and then ate pizza and ice cream at some place (I forgot what it was called). This was all in Green River. They have 20 acres of just pumpkins and about 20 of watermelons, plus they have a ton of land for other melons. We couldn't believe how many pumpkins!
Well, that is what we've been up to lately! Sorry for not posting for so long- My mom has a b-day on the 19th, James on the 16th, and Ali on the 20th so we've been making presents.
