Anna Won Student Council

Today I won the election to be in student council. As far as I know, we aren't having another election for President, Vice President, and etc. we will just be in "The Student Council". My speech is below although I did leave out some parts when I read it and also added some parts.

Dear Students,

If you don’t already know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Anna Bryner. This year I am going to be running for Student Council. But first, let me introduce myself some more;

I am ten years old and I have 4 brothers and one baby sister. I like many activities such as sports, crafts, hiking, biking. I am in piano lessons and starting to learn the saxophone. Some of the things I enjoy doing most include spending time with my family, playing with my friends, and attending football games. My favorite school subjects are probably reading, and math. After first grade, I skipped second and went to third. This is a little bit about me.

Why To Vote For Me

This year I am running for student council for a number of reasons. Here are just some things I would like to do this year:

· Have More Activities and Contests

· Listen to Suggestions From You

· Help Us To Show A Lot of School Spirit

Although many of you would like the following things, they cannot be done and I am not going to be able to:

· Put pop machines in classrooms

· Have more recess time

· Make school days shorter

· Have pizza every day

I think I would be a good candidate this year because I can be trusted, I am understanding, I will listen to your ideas, and best of all I will make this year fun! So vote for Anna for Student Council 2008-2009 to have one of the best years yet!

Then I handed out Nestle Treasures. The paper said "For a year full of treasures, vote for Anna Bryner". I attached two treasures to each one. I also printed a picture of me on the handouts and wrote at the bottom "Let's make our last year at Creekview the best!"
