"It Will Really Help"

Yeah, sure. Getting my tonsils out might have helped me- but it didn't. Not only did the recovery take a really, really, really long time, I also got sick as soon as I had recovered. Anyways, if you haven't already read about our recovery, click here for a brief explanation. Anyways, what I'm really posting about, is that the night after I had just had my two-week-after-surgery-check-up (which the doctor said I seemed to be healing and doing just fine) I started getting a fever and a really bad croupy cough. I also couldn't fall asleep for 2 and a 1/2 hours or more. I also have a bad soar throat and a runny nose. Well, I guees I'm just not going to be one of those who doesn't get sick with any soar-throat related for two years that my mom told me all about. But really, why did I get sick after six hours of the doctor saying I was fine? Maybe I caught something from the office but I just think there is too much irony here. At least my tonsil were infected and so my parents didn't have to get in big trouble with me for making me suffer so much. But yet, once I don't have strep in me anymore, I just get viruses. Oh well.

Poor Anna. You've had a tough go. Hopefully, if you get better and rested up, your tonsil and adenoid free immune system will be able to fight things off more. Hang in there chicky!

Thanks. I am hoping to hang it. Hopefully AFTER this is over I won't get sick too often anymore. But who really knows.
