One Week Later

By Liz Bryner

I am the newcomer to the blog--I hadn't even read it until today. Thank you, Anna for creating it and keeping it updated.

Here we are on my due date and we already have a week-old baby. I'm so glad she came when she did. This last week has been a lot of fun. We all think Alexandra is so cute (especially me) and she is adapting well. She sleeps a lot during the day but hasn't figured out how to sleep much yet at night. She has very long fingers and toes (a Bryner or Hutchings trait) and has a perfectly round, soft little head. She makes lots of squeaky noises. Yesterday when the door closed and started to squeak I thought Alexandra was waking up.
We are so grateful that the pregnancy and delivery went so well. It is wonderful to be on this side of the delivery with so much already behind us. Each of the kids has been so excited for her, and of course, Christian and I are totally delighted to have this new little daughter. "My cup runneth over . . ." as Cristie once said as a pun.

It looks like Alexandra's siblings are really enjoying having her around.
